This ground floor studio apartment is in an exclusive area above Calpe and it offers peace and seclusion and yet is only 2kms from Calpe town, with its lovely beaches, cafes and restaurants.

It has amazing views of the coast-line from Calpe to Moraira. Having breakfast while watching the sunrise over the sea is a great start to the day! There is a BBQ and gardens with shaded areas to sit and admire the views. If you follow the winding mountain road, you will come to Monte Alto, a nature reserve with picnic areas and mountain walks.

The apartment is the ground floor of a private villa in the exclusive and quiet area of Alto Mar, which overlooks Calpe and the coast to Moraira. The floodlit pool and terrace is private and includes a BBQ. The villa owners are not present during the summer whilst this apartment is offered for rent.

The apartment is self-contained and includes a kitchen, double bed, bathroom and lounge area with direct access to the private pool terrace. There is secure parking for 2 cars and access to the property is via shallow steps. The location is tranquil, yet close to the shops, beaches and restaurants.

Calpe is a large, friendly town, which boasts 2 large beaches and many good restaurants both formal and informal. The old town which still has its original church, and traditional style, cobbled streets and Castilian streetlamps is worth exploring, and every Saturday Calpe holds a street market which sells everything from fresh fruit and vegetables to clothes and leather goods.

Beaches

The apartment is a 5 minute drive from many beaches. Calpe beaches are wonderful sand and safe bathing and are awarded the EU blue flag. There are beautiful promenades lined with restaurants and bars, and many places to sit. There are numerous water sports on offer, and Calpe harbour offers boat trips to Altea, Denia and Benidorm. There are further beaches at Denia, Javea, Moraira which are within easy reach by car and a very picturesque drive.

Distances

Calpe is about 20 mins drive from the large Terra Mitica Theme Park, and also Aqualandia Amusement Park and Mundomar Marine and Exotic animal park. Guadalest has a monastery and Museum which is about 45 mins and is set high, in the mountains, with the beautiful Algar Waterfalls on the way, at Collosa. Vergel Safari Park is only 3 junctions up on the A7. The 'Lemon Express' train follows the coast from Benidorm to Gandia and is a lovely way to take in the scenery. The train station is only 1km from the apartment.

The journey time from Alicante is approximately 1 hour, and from Valencia about 1 hour 14 minutes.
