VILLA FOR RENT
Moraira, Costa Blanca, Spain
The
lounge, kitchen, bathroom and shower room were all refurbished to a high
standard in March 2007. The villa has heating, perfect for the cooler
months, and partial air conditioning, with ceiling fans in all rooms.
The lounge is furnished with a three seater
and a two seater settee, and has Sky television with 10 channels including movies and Sky Sports 1 and 2, video and DVD players plus
a CD player. There are four formal dining chairs with many more outside and
in the utility room, providing dining seating for up to 12 people.
The fully equipped kitchen and utility room
includes a dishwasher, cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing
machine, kettle, toaster, iron and a clothes dryer.
There are plenty of items for children to use
both on the beach and in the pool kindly left by previous guests. Cots and
high chairs are available upon request and are hired from a local company at
20 euros per item per week.
The large and very quiet pool is restricted
to only a handful of private villas, so most times you will the pool to
yourselves. The villa also has a small private garden with a lemon tree for
lovers of a G and T. The upper terrace is sheltered, and both terraces have
ample loungers, chairs and parasols. There is also a BBQ. The utility is
adjacent to the lower terrace and includes an extra fridge and sink.
A welcome pack is provided to settle you in before making the
trip to one of the local supermarkets. Also in the villa are two folders giving
local information to help you make the most out of your stay in Moraira.
The local Friday market is just at the bottom of the road and
the local golf course a couple of minutes by car with many more only a short
distance.
Moraira is set in a picturesque bay on the northern Costa
Blanca coast with the backdrop of the Marina Alta mountains. Originally a
fishing villa Moraira remains idyllically Spanish and undisturbed by the
large crowds that flock to the main resorts. Spacious villas, many owned by
the rich and famous, are scattered among the pinewoods which run down to the
sea.
Whilst Moraira remains one of the most unspoiled resorts in
Spain with no high rise, package tours or noisy night clubs, it has a great
variety of fashionable shops, excellent restaurants and bars to suit all
tastes. Down by the marina there are wonderful places to stop and chat over
morning coffee or sample a glass of Rioja whilst choosing a restaurant for
lunch. There are four beaches of very different character in the immediate
area with El Portet being the northern most of these, popular with families
with its sheltered bay and gently sloping seabed, ideal and safe for
swimming. Other beautiful beaches and coves are scattered along the coast
ready for you to explore and watersports include snorkelling, scuba-diving,
jetskiing and windsurfing.
Other local activities include golf, tennis, fishing, horse
riding and go-carting. The region is famous for its colourful fiestas and
festivals which take place throughout the year, the most famous being the
Moros Y Christianos (Moors and Christians) held around mid June. There is an
excellent Tourist Information officer in Moraira giving information on all
activities taking place during your stay. With its authentic Spanish feel
and fabulous year round weather, if you're looking to sample an unspoilt
Spanish holiday resort, Moraira is for you.
