Set in a tranquil setting in the old part of Pinar De Campoverde, the property is near all local amenities. There are several fantastic golf courses nearby. For example, Lo Romero is a brand new 18-hole golf course less than five minutes drive from the villa. Other courses within a short drive are Campoamor, Las Ramblas, Villamartin and the famous La Manga Golf Club.
The village square is a mere few minutes walk away with several bars and restaurants, a supermarket and a bank. There is also a large communal pool with a bar and a cafe. Just down the road is a large sports complex with tennis courts, basketball, football pitches and a large public swimming pool. Not too far away, for those who like going on nice walks, is a dried-up river bed with all kinds of wildlife.
Heading down the coastal roads you will find several excellent beaches stretching from El Mojon to Mil Palmeras. Torre De La Horadada also has a beautiful bay and marina. The salt lakes at the nearby coast of San Pedro have year-round flamingos and other exotic birds. Mar Menor, just 15 minutes away, is Europe's largest coastal salt water lagoon with beautiful calm waters and sandy beaches, a promenade, rejuvenating mud packs and the fabulous causeway walk is spectacular leading up to sunset.
Caiblanque Regional Park (40 minutes drive) has miles of secluded beaches and panoramic views. Elche (Elx) palm gardens (45 minutes by car) boasts an impressive array of palm trees some over 300 years old. The Palmeral of Elche, which includes these gardens, is a UNESCO world heritage site. It spreads throughout the town, and contains over 11,000 palm trees and is thought to have originally been planted by the Carthaginians in the 5th century BC.
Murcia (50 minutes drive) is steeped in history with beautiful old buildings, narrow winding streets and a cathedral. The city is wonderful to walk around and soak up the lively atmosphere or to sample the local tapas delicacies. Alicante (1 hour by car has an imposing fort, a beautiful harbour and marina with many grand historical buildings and great shopping. Alicante is a cosmopolitan mix and has a regular ferry service to the Balearic Islands. Sierra de Espuna is a mountainous regional park and makes a great day trip providing stunning views, great hiking and a taste of the wild side of Spain. You will pass many interesting towns with strong Moorish influences that will leave you hungry for more of this inland area. There are many other attractions too numerous to mention.
