Ciudad Quesada is perfect for golfers because the nearby 18 hole municipal golf course, La Marquesa designed by Justo Quesada Samper, is a good course to play.

Ciudad Quesada rises up from the surrounding countryside - the white villas can be seen from many miles away. On one of the highest parts of the urbanisation stands the Aqua Park with its many slides and swimming pools. From the top of the highest slide you have a stunning view of the entire region - from the mountains in the background to the neighbouring towns and villages, the salt lakes and natural park of La Mata and Torrevieja and beyond to the blue Mediterranean in the distance.

The entrance is via an impressive arched gateway. The main shops, bars and restaurants are just beyond, and this is the main meeting point for both residents and holidaymakers. The urbanisation is new and modern, whilst neighbouring Rojales is very old and well worth a visit. The cave houses of Rojales are particularly interesting, carved into the side of a hill in the 19th century, and now used by local artists and craftsmen to display their work.

You can take a trip to the Parque Natural de La Mata y Torrevieja with its salt-flats and varied wildlife, with its guided walks, cycling routes and shaded picnic area. There is a small Tourist Information office on the main road at La Mata which has details of the park and the trails.
